We fully outfit and supply all of the major equipment and provisions needed to do a DIY unguided Alaska moose hunt. Enjoy the solitude and beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this unforgettable journey. Our moose hunts are on western Alaska’s pristine river systems where you won’t encounter hunters from another outfitter. Choose from a 40-mile float for a shorter adventure or for a more in-depth wilderness experience, the 110-mile float which typically takes around 36 hours to cover the distance. Each season we outfit 4 or 5 remote river float moose hunting trips. You will only need to bring your personal hunting provisions. The rafting and camping equipment along with the necessary supplies and provisions are provided for these hunts, making the beautifully remote and secluded Alaskan wilderness more accessible to you than ever before.

This trip will require a minimum of two hunters to book. While the rivers are Class I, prior rafting experience is recommended for a safer and more enjoyable trip. One float hunting trip begins on a small body of water near the headwaters of the river system. All of our float hunting trips end once you have arrived at our main base camp location. This is the only deep straight stretch on the river and is long enough to land a float plane.

BI pursue record-class Alaska/Yukon moose in the northern Talkeetna Mountains and within the World famous southeastern Nelchina Basin.  These regions have produced exceptional World-Class bull moose since the early 1930’s and continue to produce gigantic trophy moose even to this day.  Bull moose within my 12,800 square mile Guide Use Area average at least 60 inches in antler width and most trophy bulls score well in excess of 200 Boone & Crockett inches.  MAKE NO MISTAKE, THESE ARE BIG MOOSE!

My hunts in pursuit of Alaska/Yukon moose are conducted during the month of September, when all nuances and facets of the moose rut are present and corresponding rutting behavior is evident.  I conduct only two (2) moose hunts each year and those hunts can be booked as one-on-one or two-on-one (hunters:guide ratio) itineraries.  Hunts are ten (10) days duration; all-inclusive from Anchorage, Alaska.  This includes ground transportation and air charter to/from the field.
